RAMS Engineer UK

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety) Engineer to join our team for the design and construction of satellite, more particulary payload and telecom purposes. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of reliability, safety and performance.

MISSIONS/MAIN DUTIES

Develop and implement RAMS strategies and plans for satellite projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations (like ESA).
Conduct RAMS analyses, including Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD).
Collaborate with design and engineering teams to integrate RAMS requirements into project designs.
Monitor and evaluate project performance against RAMS targets, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Prepare and present RAMS reports and documentation to stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and project teams.
Lead risk assessments and audits to ensure project compliance with ECSS standards.
Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on RAMS-related issues.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in RAMS management.

PROFILE/SKILLS

Master’s degree preferably in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering 
Proven experience in RAMS management (3 years +)
Strong knowledge of RAMS methodologies, tools, and standards (e.g., ECSS).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Proficiency in RAMS software tools and modelling techniques.
